Hello,
Thank you for coming to this site.
We have published a script that can be used when posting vector data to Shutterstock.
When posting vector data to Shutterstock, the size of the eps file must be 4MP (million pixels) or more.
Also, the upper limit is within 25MP.
In other words, if the vector data were square,
and
smaller than 5000 x 5000 pixel
You need to create data within this range.
I think it’s easy to calculate if the design is always square.
But that’s not the case, is it?
So we need to be careful about this range limitation.
Actually, I mistakenly submitted vector data at 4MP or less, or exceeded 25MP.
I think it’s a waste of time to be NG due to such a small mistake.
So I created an Illustrator script that checks the MP size of the eps file.
How to use size check tool for Shutterstock
Required content
- Adobe Illustrator
- SS_sizeChecker_en.jsx (You can download it on this page)
Usage is simple.
First, download “SS_sizeChecker_en.jsx” from the bottom of this page.
Next, put it in the script folder of illustrator.
* If you do not know the location of the folder, there is a page explaining the installation method (Japanese page).
After putting the script in the folder, open the eps file (or ai file) you want to check.
Select a script and run it.
Then the MP size of the file is displayed.
And it will tell you if it is within the Shutterstock’s specified size.
